Industrial Panorama by Bristish artist L.S.Lowry…

The Tate Britain features a major exhibition of paintings by the Bristish artist L.S.Lowry (Laurence Stephen Lowry, Lancashire, England1887-Derbyshare, England 1976).

Lowry and the Painting of Modern Life showcases a splendid set of landscapes and urban scenes painted by the artist, and reflects the street life in the industrial cities.

Lowry had a distinctive and unique painting style widely recognized with its slender and stylized human figures, dark colours, industrial fog and urban landscapes.

The paintings of Lowry reveal the connections with the oeuvre of well known colleagues such as George Seurat, Maurice Utrillo and Camille Pissarro, among others.

The exhibition Lowry and the Painting of Modern Life will be on display until next 20 October.
